Features:

• Footprint (3.25 x 1.75 inches)
• Mounts directly to the BrightSign Phoenix terminal block.
• 4 Opto-coupler inputs (some call them solid state relays).  For use with 3-5 or 12-24 volts DC remote activation devices.
• On board jumpers to select 3-5 volt input.  Remove the jumpers for 12-24VDC input.
• Added terminal block for bypass of opto-coupler inputs
• LED's to indicate active inputs!

This board solves the need for using a relay to convert a low voltage control signal.  The BrightSign only works with 'switch closure' to 0Volts to activate the GPIO inputs.  The opto-couplers convert the input voltage (3-5V or 12-24 volt input to a 'switch closure' to operate the GPIO inputs (BTN0-BTN3)

There is an 8 pin terminal block marked with +V and 0V for each of the 4 inputs.  The 4 inputs are labeled 0-3 (this corresponds to Btn0-Btn3 of the BrightSign.  This board is utilized when another device applies 12 volts or 24 volts to turn on a remote device (the BrightSign).

Additionally, there is an added terminal block to 'bypass' the opto couplers.  If you need less then 4 opto-couplers, you can direct connect external switches to GPIO of the BrightSign.

Note: The board is designed to only use a 6 pin phoenix connector.  It can be plugged into the left or right hand set of pins using a 6 pin Phoenix connector.  Or, you can use a 12 pin Phoenix connector which makes GPIO 4-7 available on the connector terminal block.
